Cassie Doutt is an associate attorney at Mortenson Taggart Adams LLP. Cassie is a business litigation associate, focusing on litigation on behalf of franchisors, licensors, manufacturers, distributors, technology companies, cannabis business owners, and other corporations in business disputes.
Prior to Mortenson Taggart Adams LLP, Cassie was in-house at Quotient Technology Inc., a publicly traded company leading in the digital media and promotions space in Mountain View, CA. At Quotient, Cassie successfully negotiated the terms for international and domestic NDAs and agreements with vendors for SaaS technology and other engagements; and she was a part of the in-house litigation team. During law school, Cassie interned at UST Global, a provider of digital technology and information services in Aliso Viejo. From these combined experiences, Cassie developed a keen business sense and appreciation of litigation from the in-house perspective. Cassie incorporates her business experience and knowledge of the law to assess her clients’ benefits and risks associated with litigation, arbitration, and alternative courses of action. Her objective is to efficiently advance her clients’ interests and goals.
While at the University of California Irvine School of Law, Cassie co-organized California’s first State Senate Select Committee on the Growing Impact of Artificial Intelligence in 2019, participated in the Intellectual Property, Arts, and Technology clinic, and focused her interests on intellectual property, franchise, and cannabis law.
Cassie is fluent in Spanish.
