Desiree Cox is a litigation associate at Mortenson Taggart Adams. Her practice focuses on complex litigation, including litigation on behalf of automobile manufacturers and other public Company Clients. Ms. Cox spends a considerable amount of time defending clients in consumer litigation brought under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, Unfair Competition Law, and Consumer Legal Remedies Act.
While in law school, Ms. Cox participated in the United States Army JAG’s internship program, and assisted with a variety of military and civilian cases. Additionally, during law school she worked in her school’s civil clinic performing legal services for underprivileged members of the San Diego community. She was also an Article Editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, and competed in the Alumni Moot Court Competition.
Like the other Mortenson Taggart Adams LLP attorneys, Ms. Cox has demonstrated an ongoing dedication to her community. While in law school, she was involved in the Public Interest Law Foundation, the Jewish Law Students’ Association, and the Black Law Students’ Association. Desiree is currently a member of the California Association of Black Lawyers.
