Michael D. Mortenson at Mortenson Taggart LLP has been retained to represent Gracie Barra and Flavio Almeida in connection with an attack that occurred at the IBJJF Word No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Anaheim, California in December 2018.
Mortenson Taggart has filed suit on behalf of Mr. Almeida in Orange County Superior Court for damages suffered as a result of the attack.
The attack and the criminal case and civil lawsuit arising out of the attack has been covered by various media, including NBC Southern California, CBS, Jiu-Jitsu Times, and Daily Mail.
