Reeti H. Patel is an associate attorney at Mortenson Taggart Adams specializing in business, consumer and employment disputes. She handles a wide range of matters involving breach of contract, fraud, partnership disputes and products liability across diverse industries including automotive, hospitality, technology, manufacturing and private equity. Reeti has represented Fortune 500 companies, startups, high-profile individuals, franchisors, technology companies and other corporations as both plaintiffs and defendants in complex, high-stakes matters nationwide.
Reeti is a recipient of Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of California, Irvine, where she was recognized as a Faculty Scholar. Like her colleagues, she is passionate about human rights and universal access to education with a strong background in fundraising and advocacy. In graduate school, Reeti played a pivotal role in restructuring the Discovery Science Center, held leadership positions with the International Refugee Assistance Project and Business Law Society, and collaborated with the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Opinion and Speech and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. She presented an oral argument concerning proposed changes to U.S. travel authorization forms at the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of Management and Budget, emphasizing her commitment to the convergence of law and technology, particularly in the realm of free speech.
Reeti completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She gained extensive experience working for various law firms during her college, law and business school years on transactional matters involving real estate, finance, mergers & acquisitions, securities, joint ventures and leasing, as well as business litigation. She worked with prominent firms advising both publicly traded and start-up enterprises as well as in-house for a hospitality company. Reeti is a proficient writer with meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to client success, resulting in successful transactions and favorable judgments in various areas of law.
Reeti is fluent in French, Gujarati and Hindi. A Los Angeles native, she now resides in Irvine with her beloved rescue dog Bruin.
