Robert “Bob” Schultz is a Partner at Mortenson Taggart Adams. He is a experienced complex commercial litigator and trial attorney who has represented and litigated against a variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, mid-market companies, nascent startups and individuals. Utilizing his business background, Bob has developed a keen sense for aligning his clients’ legal goals with their business goals and achieving both. Bob’s practice includes deep experience across multiple practice areas and industries, including general business litigation, business torts, employment litigation, merger and acquisition disputes, officer and director liability, product liability, consumer protection, franchise and distribution, software as a service (“SaaS”) disputes, class actions and appeals.
Bob has represented clients through all stages of litigation, including through trial and appeal. Representative trial experience includes second-chairing an eight-figure breach of contract, quantum meruit and promissory fraud case on behalf of a member of Fortune’s Unicorn List as well as second-chairing a seven-figure trusts and estates case.
Prior to joining Mortenson Taggart Adams, Bob practiced at the Orange County, California offices of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth P.C. and Dorsey & Whitney LLP. While in law school, Bob externed for S.D. Cal. District Court judge M. James Lorenz and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Giving back to his community has always been a priority for Bob. He has represented clients through the Orange County Public Law Center, and he co-founded a 501(c)3 organization in college to help child slaves in Ghana through a network of university clubs across the country. Bob is active with the University of San Diego Rugby team and Alumni Foundation.
