Zakaria H. Amin is an associate attorney at Mortenson Taggart Adams. Zakaria is a business litigation associate primarily focused on litigation on behalf of automobile manufacturers and other corporations. His practice includes defending automotive clients in cases involving fraud-based claims, and warranty claims under the Commercial Code, California’s Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
Zakaria attended Chapman University where he earned his B.A. in English Literature and a Minor in Political Science at 19 years old. He then continued his education at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law as a proud double panther, where he graduated cum laude and with an emphasis in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. He received certificates of recognition for his excellence in pretrial advocacy, trial advocacy, and negotiation. While studying at Chapman Law, Zakaria was a member of Chapman Law Review, serving as both a Staff Editor and a Senior Articles Editor. He was also a member of Chapman Law’s Moot Court competition board and served concurrently as the President of Chapman Law’s Mock Trial and Alternative Dispute Resolution competition boards, where he represented Chapman Law nationally and internationally in numerous competitions.
Additionally , Zakaria worked as an Academic Fellow for Property and Legal Analysis Writing and Research, teaching a supplementary class for first year law school students. He was the recipient of the American Board of Trial Advocates’ 2023 Student Scholarship which was awarded to him for his demonstrated legal aptitude and the impactful essay he wrote discussing the importance of the Jury Trial in our justice system. Zakaria was also the proud recipient of Chapman Law’s 2023 Professionalism Award, presented to the graduating student who represented the law school to the legal profession and to the larger community in a distinctively significant manner. He is a firm believer in bringing the greatest attention to detail, efficiency, and zealous advocacy to each and every stage of litigation to achieve the most desirable outcomes for the clients he represents.
