Emma Maggio is an attorney at Mortenson Taggart Adams. Emma’s time is focused mainly on business litigation on behalf of automobile manufacturers and other corporations. Her focus is on defending automotive clients in cases involving fraud-based claims, and warranty claims under the Commercial Code, California’s Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Emma also works in employment, personal injury, and various other matters as well.
Emma earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado Boulder, majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Environmental Design. During her time at Boulder, she developed a passion for sustainability and the circular economy, receiving several grants to attend industry summits and conferences. Additionally, she was the first intern at the REMADE Institute, where she worked in partnership with industry, academia, trade organizations, and national labs to develop technologies to enhance the United States transition to a circular economy. Emma was also an active member of her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and the Boulder Ski Club.
Emma went on to attend Chapman University for law school, where she explored various areas of law, including intellectual property and entertainment law. While in law school, Emma secured grants from the National Science Foundation to attend conferences in Washington D.C. to explore how legal frameworks influence policy and sustainability goals, particularly in the remanufacturing sector.
During her free time, Emma enjoys travelling and spending time with her friends and dog, Otis.
